Consultant, writer and author Marjorie Ouvry has more than 40 years’ experience in the education sector. Qualifying as a teacher in 1969, she completed the  Froebel qualification in 1972, specialising in early childhood education.  At Goldsmiths, University of London she was awarded an MA in 1992 and this year was appointed an Honorary Fellow of the college.

She has worked as a primary teacher, college lecturer and  was head teacher of the Robert Owen and Rachel McMillan Nursery Schools. She has also been published widely, contributing to books, journals and training videos. A second edition of one of her books, Exercising Muscles and Minds, about the importance of Outdoor Play, was published lastMarjorie book year.

Throughout her career, Marjorie has worked as a national and international conference speaker, school governor and guest lecturer, and has campaigned extensively for best practice in early years education, using the Froebelian philosophy as her benchmark.
